ms Windows Search Indexer has stopped working

Every time i change directories in winExplorer
i get an AppCrash with WER report.

I never found a solid fix.

What I did was to start using another search tool like Everything at http://www.voidtools.com/

The Microsoft indexer is known for it's woes and there are a lot of posts to date about it. You can research those prior discussions and hope but for me it was a bust as the indexer would crash on my video folder.

i entered "indexing options" in cmd line

The initial symptom
was that my whole system slowed down dramatically, deathly slow.
So i ran AgentRansack for current days for 'file created'.
It show about 100 WER files.
Anyways i entered "indexing options" in cmd line.
And specified 'Advanced' then 'Rebuild'.
It took a few hours, 142k files .
Now systerm clips along quite nicely.
