sounds to me like you have to disable automatic closing of Favorites to get the tree to stay open. MS has a habit of making weird assumptions about how people need to work with their computers.
Herb....
This began with a Windows maintenance upgrade I suspect.
It is very annoying.
When using MS Windows (File) Explorer the Directory Tree closes automatically when you click on a directory. This began at the same time Internet Explorer was changed to close the Favorites list automatically when a selection was clicked on. I suspect they are related.
When you click on the + sign it will expand the directory to show the lower level directories. But if you click on a directory, it closes the left side with the tree structure and only shows the content of the directory on the right side.
This is very annoying because often you need to copy from one directory to another and you have to re-open the tree structure by clicking on the folders button.
There must be a fix for this. Any ideas?
