Question

MS Updates on Win Pro 7

Aug 25, 2015 3:05PM PDT

Seems like every time MS pushes a security update all of my network printers are shown as offline. Two questions: why? and what is a fast way to get my Fujitsu tablet quickly reconnected via WIFI with my Brother MFC-9130CW? This also happens with my HP Envy running 8.1.

No Problems Here With Updates. How Is The Printer Connected?
Aug 30, 2015 9:47AM PDT

...to the network? Is the printer connected to a networked computer or is it separate and assigned a static IP address on the network? In order for it to be reliable, it needs to be one or the other and the tablet should be a workgroup computer, as well. The easiest way to get all networked computers to connect to the networked printers is to assure that each computer is correctly part of the Workgroup.

Hope this helps.

Didn't Really Answer The Question

Are you saying that all of the printers are "standalone" WIFI printers with no connections to computers? Unfortunately, that's the least reliable printer setup. They get lost too easily. If that's the case, I would simply uninstall the printers on the problems computers, then reinstall them and try to give them a static IP address, preferably by connecting them "wired" to a router or switch.

Hope this helps.
