MS Powerpoint file recovery

The file is basiclly a power point file with the correct extension. It is similar to one I created to check if it was the same and has most of the same starting and ending lines of code. But power point still does not recognize it. I have used later power point systems to look at it and they do not recognize it. Not sure if some of the main body data is somehow corrupt or if small changes in the code at the front or end or both are not correct. Would need somone very familiar with the code for power point. It may not have recovered code properly. Much of it is just square blocks or "Y"s. Maybe they do not get recovered in their original format. But, looking at them in Notepad shows similar coding to my test file. Anyone with real knowledge at Microsoft out there?

This is a USB stick. No such recovery available.
