If you used the old RECORDER from Windows 98, then it's no different. A little slicker perhaps. Some never got their microphone to work and this software won't fix that.

In closing, it only made WMA and not MP3 files, so that's another reason I'd ignore this software.

Are we talking about the same thing here? I read this

"You just discovered a treasured collection of vinyl albums in your parent's attic, or you were recently dusting off your old cassette collection and discovered some favorites you don't have on CDs. It's time to bring those irreplaceable holiday analog recordings into the digital era, and Plus! Analog Recorder is just what you're looking for. "
Thats what I would like to do.

Yes. But remember that it's a Microsoft digital era.

It's my choice to avoid any proprietary formats such as WMA. Here's another choice, but MP3...

"Line-in Recording
Want to breathe new life into those old vinyl records and cassettes? Musicmatch Jukebox Plus lets you easily record MP3s from vinyl, cassettes or any line-in source with line-in recording."
