MS Paint Cant Save As JPEG

by danthemannnj / September 18, 2009 4:45 PM PDT

Hey, trying to save pictures that are currently in BMP format to JPEG so I can upload them to a website. Paint is not giving me the option to save them as anything but BMP. I have done this before with paint without a problem...but I decided to download a free adobe photoshop 6.0 trial to see if that would work. And of course I get an error when installing it, error 113 something about file transport error.

If you know how to make paint work for me again that would be great!

Hey thanks for the reply. I have tried the temp files cleanup, and followed the steps listed in the other fix, neither worked (seems to be a fix for windows ME? I have XP). I just dont get how it could work one day and not the next??

Not a solution. Just a workaround.

Download IRFANVIEW for this conversion. It's free.

The fix is noted for XP too.

It has to do with the filters and I find that many demand a XP specific article. Unless I write one (which you can guess about why I don't) I continue to use the old articles.

Be sure to reboot afterwards.
