I had no trouble loading MS Office XP, but everyday when I launch either Excel or Word it asks Installing: Microsoft Word (or Excel) Feature then asks for me to load my Office CD to install some feature.
I have reloaded Office twice, run it in compatibility mode for XP.
I have had no problem with any computer I had this loaded on with XP.
It's anoying to have to put the CD in every day I need to open Office Word or Excel just to install some feature I didn't even know exists.

A Couple of Thoughts...

1. During the installation of Office XP, it sounds like you didn't select the "Complete" install. Uninstall the program and instead of doing the default installation, watch for the option to select "Complete"..

2. Make sure to manually install SP3 immediately after installing the Complete program.. Here's a link to the SP3 download.. Download it to your computer, then run it.. You WILL need to have the CD for the SP3 download but you shouldn't need it after that..

3. After SP3, use Microsoft Updates to install the latest updates to Office XP.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
