MS Office Outlook 2003 forward to personal distribution list

by wwdinc / October 15, 2009 5:42 AM PDT

I have Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 SP3. I want to forward messages to club members, but I do not want to share other members email address. So I created a rule, but when I try to assign the distribution list Outlook give me the following error: 'Practice Team Distribution List' is a personal distribution list that may not be used with this feature. Would you like to use the individual members of 'Practice Team Distribution List instead? Is there anyway around this? Is there an add-on I can purchase which will override this problem?

I'm going with no.

And since we can copy paste almost any email to a new email then send that to the list then there is little to no reason for a forward to a list feature.

I don't know Outlook at all, but doesn't BCC, Blind Carbon Copy, work for this?

Forward messages to all members, but instead of using "To" in the email address field, use "BCC".

Or am I missing something here?

In reply to: BCC?

MS Outlook will not let you set up a forward rule which forward the email using the BCC field!!!

Ahh, I didn't know that.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of that limitation with Outlook.

I hope you find a solution to this difficulty.

When it did work.

It was the spammers favorite feature. Due to abuse you can see why it had to go.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
