MS Office Outlook

I am using Outlook for my email service. I am having problems with people sending me pics in the body of the email. All I am able to see is the outline of where the pic would be and a red x in the upper left hand cornor. How and where do I change the settings so that I can view the pics?

Re: Outlook message with red X

Mudfish,

I've seen this when the picture was on the hard disk of the person sending the message. My Outlook went to search for c:\My Documents\My Pictures\xyz.jpg, and as I didn't have that file on my computer, it showed a red x. With the picture on a share in our company network (//picserv/data/sendername/xyz.jpg) or on the Internet (http://www.sendersisp.com/home/~sender/xyz.jpg) there were no problems viewing the picture.

Could this be the case?

To check it, right click on the red x, and in the properties look for the address.

Hope this helps.
