MS Office create half page doc with sequential numbering

I am trying to create a document(s) that are half page in size (verticle split) and when printed will print sequential numbers on each page. I am trying to go from 10 to 999 in the numbers. I have tried to use Word and Publisher and cannot seem to fiture it out.

Can anyone help???
