MS office and excel won't let me type or use it - Why?

by shaarii / June 28, 2008 1:50 PM PDT

Hi all,

I have MS office home and student 2007 for windows vista.
It's on a new laptop with a 60-day trial.

However it's only been one month, so I'm not sure if it's because of the trial that my excel and word has stopped working.
I can open the program, and open/view documents. But I cannot edit or create new ones. All the menu and toolbar options/functions are grayed, so I cannot even access them. I cannot click into a cell or type any data/words into the programs.

Does anyone know what happened? Did my trial suddenly stop? I don't understand since it's been working fine. It hasn't been 60 days yet!

Please help. I need it soon for school. Thanks.

Uninstall it, the trial and reinstall, activate it and should be fine.

You can save files as Word-compatible .doc files in OpenOffice Writer.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
