MS Internet Security and Unaccessible Drives

I'm running XP Home and after installing Internet Security version 2004, I was unable to use my CD-RW nor my USB thumb drive (jump drive). Message said unaccessable, see administrator.

The problem is I am the administrator. Can anyone help?

were you logged in as Administrator when you installed the software? what does the software vendor have to say? i think that there are some settings you need to change in their software.
