Hi Christy, sorry for the delay.
Excel will certainly draw graphs, as long as it has two sets of numbers to work from.
I'm not sure what else I can say except the best way to learn is to try it. The two sets of numbers are best in column format, (although any sequence will do), eg;
Month Amount
Jan --- 10
Feb --- 20
Mar --- 40
Apr --- 05
May --- 17
Jun --- 28
etc
When the numbers are complete, click the Chart Wizard on the toolbar, and go step by step through creating a graph of the figures. The wizard first asks what type of graph is wanted, eg in mathematical function cases it is probably Line graphs.
The next step is defining the data ranges for the graph. This is from the figures that have been entered. The first Data Range is confusing, so click the Series tab. Then click ''Add'' to add a series, give the series a name, then in the Values box, select the range of values entered under Amount. The easy way to do this is to highlight on the spreadsheet the whole column of figures entered.
Then in the Category (X) box, highlight the months column. The Next windows give further choices to label axes, title the graph, and where to place the graph.
It is far easier to try it out, experiment and if you make mistakes go back and try and sort them out, than it is trying to explain it in a forum.
Is this what you meant?
