Mprexe error at start up

by gjksn / August 16, 2006 4:19 AM PDT

I am having trouble when I start up my computer. I get a pop up message that reads

"Mprexe has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL.Mprexe will now close."
"If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer."

If I close the error message window my desktop goes black and everything locks up. I can't even "ctrl alt delete" to restart it. It will let me log on if I ignore the error message window. I am able to get online and such but everything (desktop, internet) starts having problems and eventually freezes.
Any suggestions on how to fix this will be greatly appreciated.

I got a whole list of stuff to try from the link you gave me. Hopefully one of them will do the trick.

Thanks again
