mpeg4 file causing xp conflict

Apr 26, 2004 6:52AM PDT

Hope someone may help me! I have copied a mpeg4 file onto my computer. It will not play, it will not allow itself to be removed and when I click onto it - it appears to send IE into an endless loop. Can rectify system by rebooting. Have tried 'restore' but there are no restore points. Any advice on removing the mpeg4 file would be gratefully rececived.

Run your virus scan and make sure it is up to date. Run all the other malware and spyware software as well cause that is probably what you copied onto your system.

Thanks jconner, had tried your suggestions but without success. Problem solved with free download prog' --
'moveonboot'. This suggestion came from the xp board.
