Question

Mpeg2-PS: What Is It & How Do I Edit It?

Apr 18, 2014 6:25AM PDT

I am getting a new Sony camcorder (HDR-PJ340/B). What I have read about it says that it "uses the AVCHD compression format (up to 24Mbps) to record high definition video. The 60p mode records at an even higher 28Mbts using STD: MPEG2-PS".

I hope there is someone who can tell what this all means in order for me to edit and publish a high quality high definition video 1920x1080 60p using the AVS Video Editor.

As to what MPEG is, I skipped that one because we can ask the web with google, ask.com and more.

I edited my first AVCHD clip using AVS Video Editor, the video editor I normally use. It was so easy, I am sorry that I didn't try it sooner. No different than editing and producing a video using MP4. Same process for both.
