Mpeg editing help???

I have a mpeg file that reads a certain amount of running time in my Windows media player,winamp or in the properties when I right click. The file continues to play after reaching the time shown on screen. Is there a way to have the entire video recognized. When I try to convert it to VCD, the part of the movie not recognized in the running time will not be recognized when the VCD is made. Heeeelp!!

Looks damaged.

Use VIRTUAL DUB to transcode it or clip off the damaged part.
