mp3recorders

whant to record tapes,records,+cd,s to mp3 format. is there a free recorder out there with line in that will let me do this? can i transfer to cdr,+ a mp3 player? are these recorders reliable? ok so now your probelly sayin what do u whant for nothing!

Although it's not very fancy and there are probably others available, you might try "FreeCorder" from the link below. It will record any type of input to the computer, including "Line In". It is "Free" but will only record at "FM" quality in the "free" mode. "Upgrading" will allow you to record in CD quality.

Once the mp3 files are copied to your computer, any standard burning software such as Roxio or Nero should be able to burn the CD for you.

I'm not sure if the free version will perform that task but, MusicMatch Jukebox will convert wave to MP3s. It will also convert MP3 to wave files. I've used it to record cassette tapes I own, convert it to digital and burn the music to CDs.
