if by "surround" you mean that you'll get sound from each one of your speakers, then yes, i believe so. MAYBE not the center speaker, but im not sure. but if you mean that different sounds will be comming out of the center, back, and front speakers, then no. different sounds will come out of only the left and right speakers, if the mp3s are encoded in stereo. as far as your HD player choice, go for the ipod or the karma if you are going to be listening to them on a home theater system because both of those devices have a cradle, and the iriver does not.
Hi all, I just had a few questions for the experienced people here. I am bouncing back and forth between choosing a Rio Karma and a Iriver iHP-120. Both look to be very comparable with the Iriver coming in the lead with dependability. Any other arguments you can add to the mix would be appreciated.
Now on to my real question. If I hook up either of these Mp3 Monsters to my home stereo am I going to get surround sound from them? Number one I am running an old Dolby Pro Logic system at home and I get surround sound from everything else. CD?s, TV, DVDs, etc and they all use RCA outputs just like I would use with the Karma and the 120. Any help with this question would be a great help. Thanks a lot!!!
