MP3 players that can charge and play

Jul 7, 2006 8:02AM PDT

I need an MP3 player that can charge by a power adapter and play at the same time. Most of the players I see can charge by a wall adapter, but I can't find out which ones can charge and play at the same time. I don't want one that charges by a USB port, because I want it stand alone. I'd go for the cheapest option possible, because I only need to load a few songs, so even a 64MB mp3 player would work.

For 8 bucks I bought a wall charger that sported the USB port.

Why the dislike of USB charging. I know it does prevent charging and downloading at the same time. How about get a player that uses remoable batteries.

Ok, my boss wants this because when we put our callers on hold, we play a song over the phone through a line-in port. WE had a cd player for that purpose, but it wouldn't play anymore and for some reason, my boss doesn't want a cd player. HE wants a mp3 player that will play all day without removing batteries.
