MP3 player suggestions?

Mar 9, 2006 6:27AM PST

I'm looking for an MP3 player. Anyone know of one that are more shake proof and that are hardrive based (I'm looking for bigger storage 10GB plus). I'm not going to use it while doing intensive sports but just for going on walks, hikes, etc. I just got a Creative Zen Sleek and it constantly stops and restarts when i just walk around with it in my pocket. I heard the flash based ones are better, but i am looking for one with more storage.

Also as a secondary feature i'd like to find one with a picture viewer with good zoom and pan control to enlarge small image details a lot.

And lastly would like voice recorder, but i think most have that. Even the ipod with adaptor.

hold out a few weeks, and get the sansa e200 series. it is flash based at 6gb, and an SD card slot for more memory. I think it has all of the features you want. check out the editors reviews for more.

walking

Any hard drive player ought to be OK for walking/hiking. There might be something wrong with your player. Flash players are definitely better able to handle a lot of shaking, but you shouldn't need one for walking unless you prefer the smaller size.

I would recommend the Iaudio X5 as a good harddrive player.
