MP3 Player Rec? Newbie! HELP!

Hey all,
Could someone please advise me what MP3 Player to get? ( I know nothing them!..lol).
I want to be able to
-listen to music (duh..)
-watch pod casts
-maybe have a radio (but that is optional)

Not really phased about the MB size etc, maybe something in the middle..ha.
Didn?t really want to get an Ipod-as every 2nd person has one, but if they are the best for what I want I might.
