Question

MP3 player freezing when turned on

Hi, about a year ago I purchased an mp3/ mp4 player, that looks exactly like Hi,%20about%20a%20year%20ago%20I%20purchased%20an%20mp3/%20mp4%20player,%20that%20looks%20exactly%20like%20this,%20except%20its%20grey.%20%20%20%20The%20problem%20I%20am%20getting%20is%20that%20it%20is%20not%20starting%20up.%20Whenever%20I%20turn%20it%20on,%20it%20displays%20an%20hourglass,%20then%20a%20scene%20of%20a%20beach%20saying%20%27welcome%27.%20After%20that,%20it%20freezes%20for%20a%20few%20seconds,%20and%20does%20the%20same%20thing%20again.%20If%20I%20don%27t%20turn%20it%20off,%20it%20keeps%20doing%20this%20eternally%20%28%20until%20the%20battery%20runs%20out,%20of%20course%29.%20I%20thought%20a%20solution%20might%20be%20plugging%20it%20in%20and%20formatting%20the%20whole%20thing,%20but%20my%20computer%20doesnt%20detect%20it%20anymore%20%28%20when%20I%20plug%20it%20into%20the%20computer,%20the%20very%20same%20thing%20happends%20as%20when%20I%20turn%20it%20on%29.%20%20This%20is%20really%20annoying,%20since%20the%20player%20is%20now%20totally%20useless.%20I%20have%20checked%20the%20forums%20for%20solutions,%20but%20since%20this%20thing%20has%20no%20name,%20no%20brand,%20it%27s%20near-impossible%20to%20find%20a%20solution.%20Until%20I%20found%20this%20forum..%20I%20someone%20here%20might%20be%20able%20to%20help%20me.%20%20Thanks,, except its grey.

The problem I am getting is that it is not starting up. Whenever I turn it on, it displays an hourglass, then a scene of a beach saying 'welcome'. After that, it freezes for a few seconds, and does the same thing again. If I don't turn it off, it keeps doing this eternally ( until the battery runs out, of course). I thought a solution might be plugging it in and formatting the whole thing, but my computer doesnt detect it anymore ( when I plug it into the computer, the very same thing happends as when I turn it on).

This is really annoying, since the player is now totally useless. I have checked the forums for solutions, but since this thing has no name, no brand, it's near-impossible to find a solution. Until I found this forum.. I someone here might be able to help me.

Thanks,

Your link only pulls up your post. For some of those cheap players you replace them when they break.

Hey I had one of those.

It was 10 bucks so I said why not. A year later it was dead. Tossed it into the electronics recycle bin at a store.
