I want to get an MP3 player for my husband who is visually impaired, but not totally blind. The primary uses will be 1) for music transfered from CD to the player, and 2) for the downloading of digital books from our local public library. Our library has 2 services, NetLibrary and OverDrive. Neither service supports iPods and both services require Plays for Sure and subscription capability.
Some of his personal MP3 player needs would be:
1) easy to use tactile controls
2) a display screen that was very high contrast, or better yet, could be modified to have larger fonts (is ADA compliance too much to hope for?),
3) FM receiver,
4) good battery life, and
5) user replacable batteries.
If anyone has dealt with some other visual impairment/MP3 issues, I'd really appreciate hearing about them.
Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly
Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
