mp3 player for traveling

I will be traveling in China for 4 months, and I want to buy an mp3 player for the trip. The trick is to find one that I can easily download music/podcasts from internet cafes. Most cafes will not allow you to download software, so is there and mp3 player with software on a cd?

Why must you download while in China? Why not bring music with you for the trip?

I am more interested in downloading radio programs to keep up with what is happening in the world. Music is secondary.

Some mp3 players dont even need drivers beyond what comes standard w/ Win XP. Do you have any idea what level cafe u will be at? If you will have access to decent computers, look into Rio's stuff, if I recall, they dont require special drivers

Alternatively, you could just burn the software on a cd...
