MP3 Player Creative Zen Micro 5/6 GB

Buying one for wife`s birthday. Never bought one before. We have an extensive CD collection. How do I transfer this collection to Player from computer?
Friends have turned me away from IPOD Mini due to ITUNES Software. I guess my main question(s)is/are:
Can I import songs directly from computer to Player and if I purchase more songs from an outside source online, will I be able to reimport back to computer to burn cd`s , etc. We will both be turning 50 very soon , so you probably won`t see us on any music commercial that requires a lot of hopping and jumping !

Okay well to transfer songs to the Micro you can use the software provided, which is very easy, or you can use windows media player 10, which is a free download from microsoft. They both allow you to put music on the player, or you can do what you are talking about by going to my computer and then you will see the player, you will want to double click the player and you will access the players hard drive. Then minimize that and go to my documents and then my music and all your burned music should be in there. You will want to copy and paste all the music you want on the player. I appreciate your helpful info. Seems simple when someone puts it plain English. Thanks again.
