MP3 player advice.

by JumpandHum / June 16, 2006 10:30 PM PDT

I've recently lost my faithful Rio Riot (no laughing please) and the insurance people are supplying a replacement.
I'm basically looking for a direct replacement for that old brick of a thing.
Min 20gb, Good sound, Long battery although the FM Tuner isn't too necessary but would be a bonus. Size isn't a problem.
They have offered me a Archos GMINI XF202.
Any opinions?
Many thanks in advance.

This will sound cliched, but...

The Creative Zen Vision: M sounds like it would do you well. It's got 30 gigs, great sound quality, AWESOME battery life for video (4 hours), decent enough battery for audio (around 14-15 hours), a high-quality FM Tuner, and an FM Recorder (if you hear a song on the radio you like, you can actually record it!). And I know you said size didn't matter, but the player really is a very comfortable size.

All around, a great device. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the advice, but I fear the video side of things would be completely unused. Maybe the same but without the video option?

iPod??????

They have offered me a shiny black iPod 20gb.
The thing is I have an aversion to the whole lifestyle choice thing and have heard nothing but bad things about them (sound quality, battery, general bad build).
Now thinking about a Sony 20gb (not the violet bean).
Hey ho!

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
