I've been using my Sony NW-S205F for almost 2 yrs now during workout. It's quite durable and sound quality is good.

The only problem is that you need to use its sonic stage software to transfer Mp3 files to the walkman, like itunes.

Good question! I think first of all its my opinion not to use ear buds. I have a wireless mp3 player that has ear cups. It came with 2 sets of ear foams which I thought was super cool! When one set gets wet I just take them off and they dry in 5 minutes and I put on the second set of ear foams. I would look at multiple sets of ear foams and stay away from ear buds. Hope this helps!
