MP3/Ipod question

Oct 7, 2007 5:58AM PDT

I used to have an Ipod and download podcasts, do I need to get another Ipod in order to listen to and download podcasts or is a MP# player okay or does it have to be an apple Ipod?

thanks

You do not need another iPod to listen to Podcasts.

They are generally in MP3 format and, despite the name, are usable on any player that supports MP3

You can use iTunes

to get the podcast, then locate the file in Windows Explorer. It will be wherever you keep your iTunes library, then locate the podcasts folder, then the specific podcast folder. Then drag the file onto your player. Not the best way to do it, but it should work as long as the file is in mp3. Most audio podcasts are, but occasionally they're done in AAC.

There are other podcast aggregators out there, but I haven't used them. I think I've seen or heard about MyPodder in the forums or on a CNET podcast.
