MP3 for extremely technically challenged?!?!

Oct 17, 2005 7:33PM PDT

I want to buy my husband a new MP3 player, but need some advice. He is an avid jogger, NOT into technology/gadgets and very rough on equipment (dirt, drops/thrown in gym bag). I bought him an iPod for Christmas and he HATED it--frustrated with click wheel, would freeze up on him and he couldn't get it to work. It's now "missing" and he NEEDS music to run. Ease of use (meaning easy to manipulate while jogging)and durability are priorities,as well as an FM tuner and probably would prefer something with AA/AAA batteries.

Any suggestions?

Pretty easy to use:

I was looking at some sites and knowing dell makes pretty user friendly items, I would suggest a dell ditty. They are doing a word of mouth marketing through this silly guy named Mitch Farrence and he teaches air guitar and such. He's wearing a track suit, so I assume it'd be good for working out Happy It has an FM tuner and all that too..and it looks to be pretty durable.
Check it out.

Nothing easier than an iPod
Oct 20, 2005 12:29PM PDT

Though I don't own one because I like the WMA subscription based services, there is really nothing easier to run than an iPod. Their user interface is the best there is ... they are the gold standard, in my opinion. While the iRiver H20 is very easy to run, all things being equal, I would go with an Apple.
