Here I'd try my phone or another PC to see if it's just this PC.
That said, there are so many ransomware infections that corrupt files. This is why beyond that we keep backups of what we can't lose. If these are worth keeping we keep backups. Folk that don't backup often learn why we backup when they lose it all.
I am suddenly having a problem playing mp3 files. When I use Windows Media Player, the songs abruptly end in a few seconds. When I use other media players, a song will last a little over a minute before the song stops and the program shuts down. I have accumulated 1000s of files and cannot play any of them from beginning to end. Up until a few days ago, the same files were playing with no problems. I have updated the drivers. So I am completely mystified. Any feedback will be appreciated.
