Mozilla Thunderbird question

Mar 19, 2005 3:12AM PST

Is there a way to have Thunderbird running in the background or rather notify me when I have mail? Right now, I have to open Thunderbird in order to see if I have mail. When I was using another program, a splash screen popped up when I had mail without me having to physically open the actual program.

It works if open Thunderbird and then minimize it, but I don't necessarily like that. I would prefer it to notify me whenever I have mail.

Thanks!

You'll have to find some "email notifier" program.

I used to use IncrediMail which when mail came in it notified me by popping up whichever notifier I chose (i.e. Butler bringing mail, etc...).

Thinking about going back to Incredimail!

Some additional software did that. There are 2 bazillion such programs out there. I can't possibly pick the one you want.
