Mozilla launch and desktop icons

Jun 17, 2006 1:25AM PDT

Dual boot Toshiba Satellite M45
XP and latest Mandrake.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050921 Firefox/1.0.7 Mandriva/1.0.6-15mdk (2006.0)

Whenever I launch a new instance of Firefox, multiple icons start popping onto the KDE desktop and these files
are files with names like the following....

bookmarks.html
bookmarks.bak
mimetypes.rdf
pref.js
secmod.db
formhistory.dat
compreg.dat
components.ini
compatibility.ini
defaults.ini
key3.db
serach.rdf
cookies.txt
history.dat
signons.txt

They need to be stopped but can anyone tell me how?

Thanks.
