The clue about the Windows firewall is interesting. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/configure-windows-firewall-allow-firefox-access seems to note you have to allow Firefox. With the change/update you may have to check that out again.

Since my firefox was automatically upgraded to firefox36 I cannot log into google or any other programs, unless I shut down the windows firewall. Mozilla/ firefox forum hidden by fog of requests for passwords etc Understand that its probably firefox not working with SSL anymore? Surely they must have thought about problems this causes and created a patch or at least advised us of problem??? Can someone help or do I give firefox the boot??
