Tell us more. Log out of what?

What happens when you try to log back in? Any error messages? If so, what do they say?

You don't start Firefox by pressing buttons, except by clicking the Firefox shortcut with your mouse button. Ther are no tabs to click until Firefox opens.

Try this. Open Firefox in its "Safe Mode" option. Instructions here; http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe%20Mode

If Firefox works in that mode then this points to bad add-ons, and you can try disabling all add-ons and adding them back in until you find the one that is causing this problem.
