All of your Windows Live Mail account settings, email, RSS feeds, atc. are stored in the following locations:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<your Windows username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
Windows 7: C:\Users\<your Windows username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
Copy the Windows Live Mail folder over before launching Windows Live Mail, replacing any existing Windows Live Mail that may be there, and your accounts/emails should appear within the application. Just note that those directories are hidden by default, so you'll need to type them in manually or enable the viewing of hidden folders/files.
Hope this helps,
To set the stage, my computer crashed due to a motherboard issue. Hard drives a still fine, but too small to continue using them.
I was running Windows XP SP3 and had downloaded and was using Windows Live Mail. I had already converted to it from Outlook Express.
Now I have a new computer running Windows 7 Home Premium. I have used a USB to IDE cable to copy all of the data from the C: drive on the old computer to the new one on it's D: drive.
How can I get my accounts and emails into my new Live Mail setup? I cannot get into the old computer to run the export, but like I said, it has already been converted. I would think that I can just copy and re-attach some things, but cannot find any documentation on this specific issue.
