No, you're not doing it wrong exactly, just not doing it completely.
After copying your files to the new location you just need to delete them from the old location - that's all the "move" function does.
Alternately, using Windows Explorer, when you've selected the files you want to move, keep the shift key pressed down whilst you drag them and they will be moved rather than copied.
Hi apologies if I seem long winded but I'm new to trying forums.
My PC is now set up for family users.Originaly set up for myself.Can I amend path names so files can be re set to individual family users.Main problem is I like to have media player 9 running whilst using PC.In my music file orignal file paths are via my/owner documents & therefore in auto playlist I get other users music included.
I have power desk installed & have tried drag & drop, but that copies rather than moves the files(or am I doing it wrong)
