If I understand the issue correctly...

You can open My Computer and browse to the location of the files, then open My Computer again and browse to the intended destination. With two windows open you could place the windows side-by-side and then drag-and-drop the files from one to the other without having to switch back and forth.

Reading it another way, you could give yourself easy access to the different directories by creating shortcuts. Right-click the destination folder and select Copy. Then go into the source folder and go Edit->Paste Shortcut. From then on you c0ould open just the source folder then drag-and-drop the files into that folder without ever opening it. You could also create a shortcut to the source folder on your desktop so that you don't have to manually browse to it every time.

Hope this helps,
John

Move not Copy

If you open the drives side by side and drag and drop you will Copy the files. To Move the files, hold down the Shift key while dragging and dropping.

so:
1. Go to the destination folder, select it, rightclick & Copy
2. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\user\SendTo and Paste Shortcut

Now, select the files to move, rightclick -> SendTO -> destination.
The only problem is that the files are copied, not moved. But you could use delete after the Happy
