moving Apple Mail files

How do I "move" Apple Mail files from one machine to another?

I have Machine A. It went ill & I merged its Mail files into Machine B.

Now Machine A is healthy again & I want to move/merge Mail files on Machine B back to A.

I'm concerned that if I "merge" B back to A, I'll get a lot of duplicate folders/emails.

Running Mac OS X v10.4.11
