Sounds like they are reducing the play time. On Samsungs you read this stopping at 2 hours and 4 minutes. It's not a setting but folk I talk with write that it's an anti-piracy move. And no, I have yet to hear of any fix.

Hi I have a 55LA6200 smart tv. I have a number of movies on my PC hard drive. Everything seems to be connected via wifi and SmartShare. However every movie I try to watch stops at about 1 hr 30 mins in? The files are good on the PC and will play all the way through to the end there... Anyone know if there is a setting on the TV that might be causing this? It's driving me to dispair!
