"According to them, they had to re-press a batch of defective discs that would not play in certain Sony and Samsung players."
Also that nutty issue about firmware versions in the player makes me hesitate to buy my own BR player.

Just purchased the $400 (ouch) BD-3600. Pandora is nice, but it would be nicer if all my movies played! Received GoodFellas & Iron Man for my birthday and NEITHER of them work. $400 for a movie player and it only plays select movies - is that a joke?

Yeah, you'd think all the 'bugs' would have been addressed before they expected consumers to shell-out big $$$ for defective items. Now every time I go to purchase a movie I have to worry about whether or not it's even going work? This whole issue is just becoming more and more irritating. Thanks for the feedback!
