Movies play in bright green or a blank screen

Hi, I recently was trying to clean up my computer by defragemting and all that good stuff. When I was done i opened one of my movies and wmp as well as another program played my movies in bright green. Depending on the format, some movies wouldnt have any picture whatsoever. The sound is perfect though. I thought it might be a codec problem so I downloaded the newest divx, and that didnt fix it. then I thought it might be an overlay problem. when i checked s3 overlay in my prosavageddr settings a msg pops up saying cannot adjust color setting, it may not be in yuv format. whatever that means. If anyone knows what is going on, the help would be greatly appreciated.
