Move IE favorites

Feb 12, 2010 1:43AM PST

Hi, I have Windows XP sp2 with IE7. I have a long list of links in one folder in my favorites. I want to split it into 2 folders. Is there any way other than 1 at a time? Can I copy more than one OR maybe copy the whole folder with another name and then delete from each folder?

Relatively easy...

Instead of using the Bookmarks menu within Internet Explorer, browse to C:\Documents and Settings\<your Windows username>\Favorites and move the bookmarks around as you would any other file. Using this approach, you can Ctrl + Click, drag-to-select, etc. the files to select several at a time, with the changes being reflected within IE immediately.

Hope this helps,
John

That hadn't crossed my mind. I should have thought of it.
