Mouse Problems

Sep 29, 2014 9:00PM PDT

I am constantly having problems with pointing devices, I am currently using a Comfort 5000 mouse keyboard combo I have no problem with the keyboard but the mouse is driving me mad I have tried other pointing devices but they may work for a bit then they all seem to go the same way jerking around, inaccurate I have thought about a USB mouse but have been advised that it wouldn't make any difference, as I am doing cad drawings it is particularly annoying, I have the latest drivers and I have checked to see if any programs are effecting it but this seems to happen in most of the setups I have tried (I have re-installed 8 several time this year due to other problems) it could be wireless interference but this is difficult to check Any ideas

So you prefer to believe what people say about USB mice above actually trying, while still mentioning wireless interference. That doesn't make sense to me.

By the way, are we talking about a desktop or a laptop? And if it's a laptop, did you try the setting to disable the touchpad when NO external mouse is connected (might be it requires that to be a wired mouse, notwithstanding what your advisers say).

I often pick mine up and blow forcefully on the reading laser eye to stop that.
