Question

Mouse problem

Sep 23, 2011 11:26AM PDT

My mouse has been freezing up repetitively today and it finally stopped working. If I wait a while (a couple hours?) it'll move a very little amount then stop working again. I have another mouse (which I'm using) which works perfectly fine. (I just hate it because of it's twitchiness Silly) The broken mouse is optical (and not wireless) Any way to fix this or is my only option to get a new mouse?

You have a choice. Don't be an user but become a full fledged technician or electronics expert.

You get out the Volt Ohm Meter (VOM), maybe put it on the bench with the usual solder iron, oscilloscope and see if you can find the failure.

Then again, at 10 to 20 bucks you may want to skip all that.
