Question

Mouse Pointer Isn't displaying

Jul 6, 2017 2:46AM PDT

After I recently reset my laptop, for some reason both my USB mouse and my touchpad doesn't seem to work.

I've updated their drivers, and reinstalled them twice
And device manager says they both work properly, at this point I'm stumped, whether it's a setting that makes the mouse pointer disappear I'm unsure of, anyway some help would be much appreciated.

- What exactly is "reset"?
- What OS?
- What laptop?
- Did you download all drivers and utility programs from the manufacturers site for that OS for your laptop. You didn't tell where they came from.

I did a system reset on my laptop, It's an asus.
I went on to device manager and clicked on updated drivers and search online for new drivers, and from there it was updated but still no response from USB mouse or touchpad.

Device manager is notoriously bad in finding the right drivers. The place to find them yourself is the asus site.

What system reset, there's more than one?

What laptop, make and model?

What OS?

Did you make the factory restore media?
