Mouse frozen after waking up from sleep mode

Aug 28, 2007 3:10PM PDT

When I put Vista Ultimate into sleep mode, the PC starts up again without a problem except that the USB mouse is frozen and no amount of unplugging it and replugging it back in will pursuade it to start again. The only option is to shut down completely and restart.

Any ideas?

Take it back to it's maker and ...

Make it a warranty issues. Vista and machines that came with it are still under warranty. I'm firm about this and ask them to "fix or refund".

Thanks but I fixed it

It was strange. I booted up Vista, unplugged the keyboard and mouse into each other's ports, which make Vista reinstall the drivers and it has worked perfectly since.

Strangely it made no difference if I unplugged and pushed it back into the same port...
