Question

Mouse and keyboard blocked

Sep 22, 2018 7:32AM PDT

Hello every one
I had windows 10, and everything was going well, after a period the mouse blocked, i started to update windows and all drivers, after that the keyboard also blocked, i made a reinstall for thr pc with conserving my files, and no thing changed,
I tried to run my pc with ubuntu, and the materials works correctly,
So i thought it was the problem from the system so i formatted the whole windows, with a windows 10,
I ended up by the same problem,
Pc model: lenovo y510p windows 10 64 bits
Thank you

My y510p recently updated as all W10's do.

And all is well. What's needed here is more story. Such as did they use other than Lenovo's supplied drivers or did they install some other AV or anti-keyboard hijack software.

Can't offer much.

But my y510p with dual GPUs is all good. I haven't reinstalled the OS since it arrived so if you did that and it's failing, there's something off in your install.

I can't guess if this is some hardware failure but if you have reached the end, do a factory restore.

Since Linux works.

I'm left with "not much" since you did a FACTORY INSTALL using media from Lenovo. Quite the mystery here and I hope there are more clues or you figure it out. I love and hate these mystery machines.

First, try checking your hardware
then Check your wireless connections after Check the device

Try the Windows 7 Troubleshooter
To run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter in Windows 7:

Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel.
In the search box, enter troubleshooter, then select Troubleshooting.
Under Hardware and Sound, select Configure a device.
