Question

Motorola volume down button stopped working

May 5, 2018 3:56AM PDT

I have motorola moto x style.
Changed the screen. The repairer glued the screen and I am worried whether if it harmed my volume down button.
You can click on it normally, it just has no effect. How can I check whether it's hardware or software problem?
I can't access boot mode because of it.

But must stop short of telling they broke it. The event that broke the screen could have broke that button or what's behind it. Ask the screen repair shop to work this repair too.

Thanks for response.
Here is an update:
Once when I pressed the volume button, it worked and then it's constantly pressed.. not physically, but it acts like it's being pressed. Could this be a software problem?

You didn't ask if it is a software problem but could it be. This means that this is an unknown but give I have yet to see it be a software issue I have to write no.
