Motorola V710 for Verizon Wireless

Sep 5, 2004 8:44PM PDT

Hi...errr I just got a laptop with bluetooth built in and i figured it'd be pretty cool to use a bluetooth phone with it, and apparently, the Motorola v710 is the only one with that option. I've had some motorola phones before, and i consider them pretty strong phones, but im just looking for any opinions as to if its really worth my 319$ and if not, what are some other better options?

not worth it, is a phone , plus u should read the article here on cnet about the bluetooth and verzion. some reason not working good "security concern"
my opinion bs, just wait is too early. have u look at samsung new cell coming out, has a 1g+ hard drive including bluetooth etc.. not sure if it will b for verzion for sure for sprintpcs but yes probably a little diff style for verizon, wait patince is the key. big hard drive is the key

Ok first of all i would never but never in this life switch to sprint never they are the worst company in this country why they charged my mom 2 times a month if she didn't pay the bill she would be without phone. We went to sprint they couldnt tell what was wrong she switch her plan hundred times but it never worked. It was like that for a year. So she switched to verizon and she didn't had that problem. ok about moto v710 its a great phone i have it but the only problem u cant connect to your laptop its doesnt allow u to. I thought the same but it didn't work but u transfer files by the tranflash card it cost you 49.99 for a 64mb or 79.99 for a 128mb its great. i love it but i heard they are comming with a version of moto v710 because everybody is complaning because verizon blocked the file transfer between bluetooth on v710 but i guess the new phone will alow u to do it. Over all i like this phone. The bluetooth works perfect with the headset i walk around the rooms and i doesn't get disconected.

Check out the CNET review of the v710. If I remember correctly, the bluetooth is SEVERLY limited (because of Verizon's 'Get It Now' contracts) I think it was mentioned the the bluetooth only works with specific headsets and doesn't connect to PCs or other bluetooth stuff.

Before spending all the cash, check out the review.

This phone has been pulled from the market. Verizon is no longer offering it.

really... every store here in my michigan area carries the v10???

i just signed on and picked up a lg vx6100 but i've been considering the v10 because of its mp3 and larger space. the camera/video sounds nice but i have a digital camera for that anyhow and bluetooth is of no concern to me.

hopefully the lg vx8000 will be here soon, that or the new M phone lineup that's out in europe.
